The NDIS is now transforming the lives of 502,413 participants across the country living with significant and permanent disability, The NDIS being the world-first insurance scheme to achieve such high numbers of participants. The NDIS is having a positive effect on Australians with disability, their families, support workers, as well as economic growth through the creation of new business and employment opportunities.
The NDIS has seen a huge growth since its launch in 2013, celebrating the 200,000 participant milestone in 2018 and now the 500,000 participant milestone by the start of 2022.
