IHDS Assists participants to participate in group-based community, social and recreational activities, promoting socialisation while offering both worker facilitated and self-directed capacity building activities. All activities are based on the interests and goals of participants.
Life Skills development – eg: grocery shopping, cooking, personal care, gardening, household tasks
Improved Health & Wellbeing – eg: health & wellbeing awareness and education, group fitness activities, walks, swimming, yoga
Literacy and Numeracy – eg: tailored programs to suit learning ability, money handling, budgeting, reading and writing skills
Recreational – eg: ten pin bowling, music, dancing, picnics, art and craft
Community access – eg: library, music works, community events, shopping, museum, art gallery, volunteer groups.
Note – At the moment we don’t have any active group/centre based activities, however we plan to restart our art classes further into this year. If you leave your contact details in the expression of interest below, we will get back to you when have the art class set up.
If you have a group of friends and would like to participate in group activities such as pool, badminton, bowling or mini golf, please get in touch and we can look into organising regular activities.
We have immediate capacity for 1:1 activities.
