Yesterday’s High Tea NDIS Networking & Education session at Fairfield Boathouse that I-Help Disability Services attended was a highly informative event featuring fantastic presentations from National Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), with Janessa Ganci who discussed Positive Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices, while Trevor Carroll OAM, CEO of Disability Justice Australia, shared powerful stories about the incredible impact his organisation is making through its advocacy for people with disabilities.
Disability Justice Australia provides independent advocacy, free from conflicts of interest and separate from other services. Their services are free of charge and include representing individuals with disabilities in a wide range of disputes, as well as working toward long-term social change by ensuring that legislation, policies, and practices uphold the collective rights and interests of people with disabilities.
Thanks to Finlay Fitzgerald-Coley and Janessa Ganci from National Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) for organising the event.
