Personal Care

Personal care supports relate to assistance with daily personal activities including assistance with, or supervision of, personal tasks of daily life. Personal care supports may be required across a variety of settings. For example, a participant living alone in their own home, in one one of our Supported Independent Living (SIL) properties, our medium term accommodation, our short-term accommodation, living with family or other people, or on holidays away from home.

Before including any personal care support in a participant’s plan, the NDIA must, amongst other matters, be satisfied that the support will assist the participant to pursue their goals. objectives and aspirations (section 34(1)(a)).

IHDS is committed to providing quality personalised services – when you want, how you want. We can help you live independently in your own home and participate within your community.

A more detailed guideline for Personal care supports can be found on the NDIS website here.
